IndiaSkills receives Certificate of Merit for Best UK-India Partnership in Skills Development 14th September, 2011 IndiaSkills has been awarded the "Certificate of Merit" for "Best UK-India Skills Provider" by the UK India Skills Forum. The award was received by Hari Menon, CEO of IndiaSkills from S. Ramadorai, Advisor to PM on Skill Development at a grand ceremony held at the FICCI Global Skills Summit 2011 in New Delhi.
The UK India Skills Forum’s annual awards are given to skills training providers in recognition of their outstanding commitment to skills promotion in India. The objective of the award is to serve as a practical tool that will benefit the organisation by benchmarking their status, stimulating innovative thinking and improving focus & performance capabilities. The evaluation process consisted of an initial screening to determine basic eligibility criteria and a stringent examination by an assessment panel which includes external assessors and representatives from both government & non-government organisations. Applicants were reviewed on basis of their background, relevance to the skills education scenario, their methodology, sustainability of the projects as well as previous awards & recognitions.
APHRM – “Leadership in Training & Development” award for Hari Menon 5th September, 2011 Hari Menon, CEO of IndiaSkills has been conferred the ‘Training & Development Leadership Award’ by the Asia Pacific HRM. The award was given to Hari at a grand ceremony in the Asia Pacific HRM Congress 2011 held in Bangalore last week.
The objective of the award is to benchmark the best practices in HR and to recognize the best of the professionals in this sphere. The nominations for this award are made by a global research cell comprising of professionals from across Asia. These nominations are then reviewed by a jury comprising of eminent practitioners who then choose a winner. The criteria for choosing the winner include the individual’s perception within the organization, his/her external perception, credibility, value contribution to the business, track record of performance and achievements among other parameters.
The Asia Pacific HRM Congress is an annual event which is a congregation of leading HR practitioners from across the globe and is a platform for them to exchange ideas and thoughts pertaining to HR and related strategies.

IndiaSkills International ESOL diploma certificate distribution

IndiaSkills distributed the International ESOL diploma certificate to their first batch of passed out students today. The batch registered a 100% success rate with all candidates clearing the tough assessment exams. IndiaSkills is currently providing training to their fourth batch of students with the previous batch’s exams in the pipeline.
The International ESOL Diploma has been approved by the UK's Border Agency as evidence of English proficiency for skilled and highly skilled migrants wishing to work or live in the UK. This makes the certification extremely important to students on the lookout for immigration prospects and improves the candidates’ chances of clearing the immigration process.

Special Convocation Ceremony for DMRC trainees

Today IndiaSkills and the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) conducted a special convocation ceremony for the employees of the DMRC who successfully completed the “Certificate in Safety for Metro Transport Maintenance” qualification. The DMRC had chosen to partner with IndiaSkills to improve the skill sets of their employees and upgrade the Metro’s safety norms to internationally accepted standards. The training program was aimed at imparting awareness, training and practical exposure to international standards of safety measures followed in metro construction sites to the DMRC workers.
