The qualifications combine relevant theory and practical skills, ensuring that the learners acquire the required knowledge and build essential skills under the guidance of an experienced, qualified and competent faculty.
Qualifications are delivered using the following approaches:
Experience-based approach: Connecting the content with the interests and life experiences of the learners.
Discovery-based approach: Encouraging learners to think, ask questions and search for answers.
Interactive-based approach: Promoting communication, co-operation and a sense of common purpose in the session.
Classroom training includes lectures, group activities, role plays, group discussions and other proven methodologies. Practical sessions include working in a simulated industry environment. The labs impart hands-on learning to the learners.
Faculty
IndiaSkills’ faculty has relevant industry experience and are well-respected in their fields. The faculty is qualified to back up theory classes with real case studies and examples. To deliver qualifications to high levels of proficiency, all faculty members are equipped through IndiaSkills’ ‘train-the-trainers’ programme. This programme develops faculty members, trains them on teaching methodologies and conducts interactive sessions to increase their effectiveness.
To become a faculty member at an IndiaSkills Vocational Training Centres (VTC), the ‘train-the-trainers’ (TTT) exercise has to be successfully completed.
