JOHN YATES

John Yates is the CEO of IndiaSkills, a JV between Manipal Global Education, India’s leading higher education services provider and City & Guilds, UK’s largest provider of work-related assessments & vocational qualifications. Set up with the aim of redefining the scenario of skills training & certification delivery in India, IndiaSkills has made rapid advancements in the field of vocational education and training. Prior to taking up this role, John Yates was Director of Product Development with City & Guilds U.K.

John has a strong background in vocational and higher education and has worked with BPP Learning Media and formerly Cengage Learning EMEA, where he was responsible for managing and developing broad educational product portfolios.

He has extensive technical and educational publishing expertise and for the past decade has been at the cutting-edge of advancements in e-learning technology and how it can be harnessed for the benefit of teachers and learners. John’s wide experience in the VE training scenario of U.K. has placed him in a unique position to guide IndiaSkills in making an impactful contribution to the skills development sector in India.
